Things to do while travelling:
Journal on work trips. Document your intentions, your realities and your discoveries.
Actually take in the scenery. Notice the people, ask the important questions, their body language speaks and you will understand and realise, we have so much more in common.
You will get offered water at every point, drink it! Your body will thank you and your skin will show it!
Top 3 things that can't be missed in China?
1. Visit the parks and go hiking. You will not regret it
2. You have to try a Chinese massage. Deep tissue is no joke!
3. Street corn! Reminded me of home. The best corn was from the roadside and this did not disappoint
Favourite thing you got to discover/see/know?
Sanya, China was the best discovery ever! Pristine blue waters that were clear to the bottom and white sand. The weather was just divine and the birds chirped all day. It was peaceful and just the perfect getaway

Best place to stay?
In the city, hotels that are attached to or very close to malls are convenient for shopping and having various food options.
By the coast, specifically Sanya, China please stay at the Sanya Luhuitou Resort and Spa. The massage there was absolutely worth it and the entire place is just really a perfect weekend getaway from work on a Friday and back into town on a Monday.

One thing you appreciate about the locals?
Their warmth and genuine respect for their work, their culture and their environment. It was clean, very technologically advanced (way ahead of the West) and sporadic spots of nature in the middle of the city.
